HEROES

We are very proud of 4 boys (age ranges from 13years-14years) in Year 9 who have behaved in a very compassionate way, and were witnessed doing so by a member of the public, Mrs Olive Russell, who phoned the school to inform them of what had happened.

We are very proud of 4 boys (age ranges from 13years-14years) in Year 9 who have behaved in a very compassionate way, and were witnessed doing so by a member of the public, Mrs Olive Russell, who phoned the school to inform them of what had happened.

The lady witnessed a cat being run over and left lying injured in the road. The 4 boys ran over and tried to help the cat – phoning the RSPCA and the police, but all to no avail. While trying to get hold of a vet, the injured cat died in the arms of one of the boys, Alfie Bate. The other boys were Aiden Warwick, Patrick McGovern and Jordan Spowart. All 4 boys were very upset by what happened, but at least knew that they had done everything they could under the circumstances. Assistant Headteacher Marie Erwood said “Mrs Russell saw this happen and was full of praise for the kindness and compassion of the 4 boys who were also so kind and polite to her.  She wanted the school to know as she was so touched by what she had seen. All the boys have been praised and recognised across the school for being such worthy young citizens. We are very proud of them.”
