Enterprise week

Year 7 students at Stewards Academy learned the process of making profit and being enterprising during an energetic week of making and selling their wares to staff and pupils of the Academy.

Christmas decorations, raffles, cakes, biscuits and other goodies were sold.   Games, tombolas and tasks such as guessing the weight of a cake and the number of sweets in a jar  took place in the hall at lunchtimes.

All 8 tutor groups competed to see who would earn the most profit with the winning group choosing the charity for the profit to be donated.   After an extremely competitive and successful week the grand total of £1,139.65 was raised and the winning tutor group chose to donate the money equally between St Clare’s Hospice and Cancer Research UK.

The sense of achievement throughout the year group was immense and everyone was very proud of themselves.
