Stewards Trustees (governors)

Stewards Trustees (governors) support the school wholeheartedly and play an active part in the life of the school. Two trustees are elected from the parents of children at Stewards Academy, five are appointed from the local community, one is elected from the teaching staff and one from the other staff in the school. The Headteacher is also a member of the Trust Board.

The Trust Board comprises an effective mix of relatively new trustees and those who have been associated with the school for many years. They are able to bring a long term strategic perspective and fresh ideas to current issues.

The Trust Board meets at least six times each year and has one sub-committee called the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee. This Committee has delegated responsibility for the oversight of the school's finances and meets five times each year. Coming from a wide range of different occupations (including education, commerce and industry), the trustees bring their skills and experience to the benefit of the school through the work of the Trust Board and the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.

Members of the Trust Board, can be contacted in the following ways:

  • By post - Stewards Academy, Parnall Road, Harlow, Essex, CM18 7NQ
