Back to Business as Usual

Well, it was all hands-on deck with our students returning to school this week! We were so excited to welcome pupils back to school once again.  Our Year 11s started in lessons on Monday, with the other years arriving for their Lateral Flow Tests in our bespoke Testing Centre on a rolling programme; following a negative result, they were able to start the next day.  By Friday, all 1100 students were back in lessons!

As you can see from the photos the children were extremely excited to see their friends again and receive face to face lessons with their teachers. Once more, Stewards Academy is buzzing with energy and vitality as school life gets back to ‘the new normal’.  Here are a few images from DT, Art and Maths showcasing the excellent work and attention to hygiene across subject areas.

Simon Preece, deputy headteacher, said: ‘We are truly delighted to welcome all our students back to the academy and, embrace what we hope is a level of normality moving forward. Our community is an environment built on character, vibrance and a personal approach for our learners, and we have missed working face-to-face during recent times. For the rest of the academic year and beyond, we aim to support our young people, not only academically but, through the highest level of pastoral care, so students have every opportunity to flourish!’
